Bookings are subject to availability and are not confirmed until the required payment has been received and confirmation has been issued by Broadside Music.
The person making the booking is responsible for ensuring that the information provided is accurate and complete.
Where a booking is made on behalf of another participant or guest, the person making the booking is responsible for ensuring that they are aware of the relevant information and these Terms & Conditions.
-
Prices are shown on the relevant event or course page and are payable in pounds sterling.
The advertised fee will make clear what is included in the booking. Travel, accommodation and any other costs not expressly stated as included are the responsibility of the participant.
Where an early-booking discount or promotional code is offered, any eligibility criteria and deadline stated at the time of booking will apply.
-
Where a deposit is required to secure a place, this forms part of the total course fee. Deposits are non-refundable if you choose to cancel your booking, except where required by law.
Where payment by instalments is offered, the amounts and payment dates will be clearly stated at the time of booking. It is your responsibility to ensure that each instalment is paid by the relevant due date.
If an instalment is not received by the due date, Broadside Music may contact you to request payment and, if payment remains outstanding, may release your place.
If you choose to cancel after paying one or more instalments, any refund of those instalments will be determined in accordance with our Cancellation and Refunds terms. The deposit remains non-refundable, except where required by law.
If Broadside Music cancels the course, all payments made, including the deposit and any instalments, will be refunded in full.
-
Some Broadside programmes, including the Summer School and future Young Artists programmes, require an application before a place can be offered.
Submitting an application does not guarantee a place.
Where an applicant is successful, Broadside will issue an offer explaining how and by when the place should be secured. A place is not confirmed until the required payment has been received.
Broadside reserves the right to consider applications on a rolling basis and to close applications when all available places have been filled.
-
We understand that plans sometimes change. If you need to cancel your place, please let us know as soon as possible.
More than 8 weeks before the course – full refund, less any non-refundable booking or payment-processing fees.
Between 4 and 8 weeks before the course – 50% refund.
Less than 4 weeks before the course – unfortunately, we are unable to offer a refund.
-
This section applies to tickets for Broadside concerts, Broadside Evenings and other ticketed events. It does not apply to Broadside courses, weekends or summer schools.
Tickets are subject to availability and, unless otherwise stated, are non-refundable.
If you can no longer attend, you may transfer your ticket to another person. Please let us know in advance so that we can update the booking and collect any relevant information required for the event, such as dietary or accessibility requirements.
A change of mind or inability to attend does not entitle the ticket holder to a refund.
-
We reserve the right to make reasonable changes to programmes, repertoire, schedules, venues, tutors, artists or other arrangements where circumstances require.
Where a change materially alters the nature of the event or service purchased, we will contact affected customers and provide appropriate options.
If Broadside cancels an event or course and does not provide the booked service, participants will normally be offered a refund of the amount paid to Broadside or, where appropriate, the option to transfer their booking.
We cannot normally reimburse independently arranged travel, accommodation or other associated costs.
-
Occasionally, circumstances outside Broadside's reasonable control may affect an event or programme. These might include severe weather, venue closure, transport disruption, illness, government restrictions or other exceptional circumstances.
Where this happens, we will take reasonable steps to minimise disruption and communicate any necessary changes as soon as practicable.
Any refund, transfer or alternative arrangement will depend on the circumstances and the extent to which the booked service can still be provided. Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights.
-
For participants under 18, a parent or legal guardian must provide the information and permissions requested by Broadside.
Parents or guardians are responsible for ensuring that Broadside has accurate and up-to-date information relevant to the participant's safety and welfare, including emergency contact, medical, allergy, dietary and accessibility information where requested.
Participants are expected to follow reasonable instructions from Broadside staff and behave in a way that supports the safety, wellbeing and enjoyment of the whole group.
Serious or persistent behaviour that places the participant or others at risk may result in a parent or guardian being asked to collect the participant.
Any safeguarding concerns will be managed in accordance with Broadside's safeguarding procedures.
-
Participants are expected to attend the sessions and performances included within the programme they have booked unless otherwise agreed with Broadside.
If illness or another circumstance prevents attendance, please notify us as soon as possible.
No refund is automatically due for sessions missed by a participant after a course has begun, although exceptional circumstances may be considered individually.
-
Please provide accurate information about relevant medical conditions, allergies, dietary requirements and accessibility needs when requested.
We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requirements notified to us in advance.
Food may be prepared by third-party caterers. While we will pass relevant information to those responsible for catering where appropriate, we cannot guarantee an entirely allergen-free environment.
Anyone with a severe allergy should contact us before booking so that appropriate arrangements can be discussed.
-
Where alcoholic drinks form part of a Broadside event, they will only be supplied in accordance with applicable licensing and age restrictions.
Non-alcoholic alternatives will be available where advertised or requested.
Broadside reserves the right to refuse alcohol where it would be inappropriate or unlawful to serve it.
-
Photography, filming or audio recording may take place at some Broadside events.
Where identifiable children or young people are involved, appropriate permissions will be obtained before images or recordings are used by Broadside for promotional purposes.
Further information will be provided where appropriate before the relevant event.
Audience members and participants should not make recordings where doing so would infringe the privacy, safeguarding or intellectual-property rights of others.
-
Participants and guests are responsible for their own belongings.
Broadside cannot accept responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal property except where liability arises under law and cannot lawfully be excluded.
-
Where parking is available in connection with the event, vehicles and their contents are left at the owner’s risk. Broadside Music cannot accept responsibility for loss, theft or damage to vehicles or their contents, except where this results from Broadside Music’s negligence or where liability cannot legally be excluded.
-
Broadside will provide its services with reasonable care and skill.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or other rights that cannot legally be excluded.
We are not responsible for losses that could not reasonably have been foreseen when the booking was made or for losses arising from arrangements made independently of Broadside, except where the law provides otherwise.
-
Unless otherwise stated, the content of the Broadside Music website, including text, branding, graphics, photographs and original materials, belongs to Broadside Music or is used with permission.
Content may not be reproduced or used commercially without prior permission.
Music and other materials supplied to participants may also be subject to third-party copyright and licensing restrictions.

We will aim to respond promptly and fairly.
-
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our activities, business practices or legal requirements.
The version applicable to a booking will normally be the version made available when that booking was made.
-
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Nothing in these Terms affects any rights you have under applicable consumer law, including any rights relating to where legal proceedings may be brought.
