Before and after studies at the Royal College of Music, Rory completed young artist programmes with the Monteverdi Choir and Garsington Opera, and was a Laureate of the prestigious baroque academy of Les Arts Florissants, Le Jardin des Voix. He has performed with all the major UK early music ensembles as well as step-out solos in landmark European venues including Wigmore Hall, Theater an der Wien, Teatro Real, and Palau de la Música Catalana.
