There’s more to a Broadside weekend than just the music.
On Saturday afternoon, step away from rehearsals for a while. Explore the Norfolk landscape, work with one of our Broadside Artists, or see Salle Church from a different perspective.

BROADSIDE ACTIVITIES

SALLE & WENSUM VALLEY WALK

With a local guide

Head out from Salle for a guided walk through the surrounding countryside and Wensum Valley.

A chance to stretch your legs, discover more of this corner of Norfolk, and enjoy some good conversation along the way.

Further details, including the route and distance, will be shared nearer the weekend.

EXPLORING BAROQUE MUSIC

With Harry Castle & Rory Carver

Explore the music, composers and stories that shaped the Baroque period.

Harry Castle will guide you through the music and history of the period, while tenor Rory Carver brings it to life through live performance.

From Monteverdi and Purcell to Vivaldi, Bach and Handel, discover the musical world behind some of the period’s greatest music.

ART AT SALLE

Led by a local artist

Take some time to look more closely at one of Norfolk’s most remarkable churches.

Led by a local artist, this relaxed, practical session will take inspiration from Salle Church – working outside if the weather allows, or turning to its extraordinary interior if not.

No particular artistic experience is needed: just come along and have a go.

CHOOSE YOUR AFTERNOON

Broadside Activities take place during our extended Saturday afternoon break. You’ll be able to choose how you spend the time – or simply take the opportunity to relax, explore Salle, and enjoy a slower part of the weekend.
